Lyn

Administration / Treatment Coordinator

Hi my name is Lyn! I am the newest member of Dr. Donnelly’s team. You will meet me at the front of the office providing all administrative duties and helping make things super easy for you. I joined Dr. Donnelly and his team in Feb 2019. I bring with me many years of administration and accounting experience. I started my career in banking just after graduating from high school, in a small community northeast of Calgary. After thirteen years in the banking industry, I was offered an opportunity to expand my knowledge into the dental field.
I have been in the dental industry for over forty years in the areas of management, treatment coordination, all areas of administration and human resources.  It is my privilege to extend my assistance to you and help make things really easy for you. I could write a book with my years of knowledge and experience. My areas of expertise are in treatment coordinating and processing claims and helping you to understand the ins and outs of your dental benefits.
I am very proud to be a part of Dr. Donnelly’s dental team and I strive to make all of our patients feel welcome. You are never an interruption in my day and I look forward to helping you. Your care and comfort are my top priority!!

In my spare time I enjoy music, camping, spending time with my family and my shitzus Gizzmo and Oreo.

Kaitlyn

Administration / Treatment Coordinator

I’m Kaitlyn. I came to Northwest Dental Centre in 2005, and for more than 15 years I have been Dr. Donnelly’s go-to team member to help bring transparency to all things dental for you. Be it the most complicated full mouth rehabilitation cosmetic case, or the most routine procedure like a crown, filling or emergency; I can make things easier for you. I know dentistry can be nebulous and confusing for most people and this can make one feel vulnerable, however my job is to help each client through the process to bring a clear understanding of what we will be doing and help make everything easier. Just let me know if you feel confused, and I can help you. There is nothing to be ashamed about in these four walls and we have your confidentiality and care taken care of, so feel free to feel safe talking to all of us.

I am here for you! I can help answer all of your questions, help navigate your paperwork with ease and I am a strong voice on your behalf with your benefit company should you require my help.

I am delighted to be a part of this amazing team of like-minded dental professionals. We work hard to bring our best for our clients. Please let me know how I can serve you best.

I love to shop and spend time with my family on my off hours.

Anita

Registered Dental Assistant / New Client Coordinator / Treatment Coordinator

Hi! My name is Anita. I am one of the Registered Dental Assistants at Northwest Dental Centre. I am a born and raised Calgarian. Along with my Dental Assistant certification, I also have an English Degree with a minor in Education from Mount Royal; which has definitely been an asset in my current position. After school I worked at a Medical Clinic doing administration where I realized I love the small office environment and the close bonds I was able to form with my colleagues and patients. Being a Dental Assistant allows me to build these types of relationships without being stuck behind a desk. Especially working at Northwest Dental Centre where we have more of a special boutique feel and we get to know everyone very well. I have worked with Dr. Donnelly long enough where I can basically read his mind. My goal is to make your experience at our facility as easy, informative and fun as possible.

My favourite part of my job is being able to be involved in life changing treatments that make people look years younger and more refreshed. These are accomplished with Orthodontics, Cosmetic Smile Rejuvenation, Implant tooth replacement and Cosmetic Full Mouth Rehabilitation. Sometimes it may be a touch of Botox from us on its own or as a part of your cosmetic work you receive. I love seeing all the joy and excitement our clients experience once they view the reveal at the completion of their cosmetic or rehabilitative journey with us.

Outside of work I like my downtime, but I also like to stay active. You could often find me at my kickboxing gym, on the basketball court, or spending time with friends and family. I am going to be an aunt soon and couldn’t be more excited about it!

Julia

Registered Dental Assistant / New Client Coordinator / Treatment Coordinator

Hello everyone, my name is Julia! I am one of Dr. Donnelly’s Registered Dental Assistants. I am also cross-trained as a dental administrator so you may also see me at the front desk from time to time. My desire for working in the dental field started as a small child. Whatever dental treatments I had received fascinated me. I always enjoyed going to see the Dentist, and I really enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere in the clinic so I knew that one day I could see myself working in the dental field.

I am originally from Nova Scotia and moved to Calgary in 2017 and joined the incredible team at Northwest Dental Centre. It is a pleasure to work alongside Dr. Donnelly and his great team!

I am excited to meet you. The comfort and care of the patients I work with is always my top priority. I will always listen to your concerns, and I will always answer your questions and relay all information to you regarding your dental health in a knowledgable, honest, calm, and friendly manner. We will work together to make sure you are provided with the best treatment options so the results will give you a smile you can be proud of the way you want it. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, spending time with friends and family, and walking my dog Nelson!

Sonia

Registered Dental Hygienist

I’m Sonia- a UBC alumnus with a degree in Dental Hygiene, and I am thrilled to share my knowledge and expertise back with my hometown of Calgary! My passion towards dentistry began at the age of 15 when I started volunteering with marginalized populations and saw their lack of access to dental care. I decided then that I wanted to pursue a career in Dental to make a positive change in peoples’ lives!

My number one priority is to have a strong patient relationship and empowering my patients to make the best-informed decisions for their dental health. I always take the time to listen and answer questions and concerns with integrity and transparency. In my role as a Dental Hygienist, I provide gentle, comfortable preventive oral health care and I respectfully educate you about periodontal disease, its links to systemic disease and its detrimental effects on your overall health. It is my privilege to offer Dental Hygiene as a part of this great team of ours where I will consistently put your interests, values, and needs first.

A fun fact about me is that I volunteered and piloted the first Dental Hygiene Humanitarian Mission for the UBC Faculty of Dentistry in Vietnam where we provided dental care in multiple orphanages and we helped spread awareness about oral cancer.

On my off hours you can find me in the gym staying active, travelling to new places, and spending time with my family!

Leslie

Registered Dental Assistant

I’m Leslie! I am a 20 year veteran of the dental profession! My passion for dentistry began at the age of 11 when my own orthodontic treatment had a long lasting positive effect on me. The first 10 years of my career was spent as a chairside Dental Assistant, and for the past 10 years I have been delighted and enthusiastic to offer my talent and knowledge as a Registered Dental Hygienist.

I am so fortunate to be a part of this profession at this vital time when so many scientific links are being validated between oral and systemic diseases. It is my privilege to continue to offer hygiene support as a part of this remarkable team where the practice philosophy is focused building strong relationships and empowering patients to understand this very important link of oral disease to whole body systemic health which in turn improves and supports quality of life when I help you keep your mouth healthy. My role in the practice is to provide preventive oral health care in a gentle and respectful manner. I am an educator for all ages on the effects of periodontal disease and how that affects the overall health of the body. My passion for what I do reflects in the quality of care that I offer to you. Outside the office I keep active with barre classes and weight lifting, trying new restaurants, spending time with family and friends and walking my shitzu Tripp!
