My favourite part about dentistry is building relationships with patients. I believe that it is important to first understand a patient’s needs, goals, and expectations in order to provide the best service possible. By understanding the unique situation of each individual, I can then tailor treatment and provide the best care possible.
Dentistry has come a long way, and I am excited to share with you the latest options and technologies that will help you meet all your oral health goals! I hope to empower you with knowledge and support you in making the best decisions for your health.
Education and continuing education
I was born and raised in North Vancouver, British Columbia. After completing my Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Biology at the University of British Columbia, I moved to Winnipeg where I earned my Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Manitoba.
I am excited to now call Calgary my home and be a part of the Northwest Dental Team, where I can continue to provide patients with the highest quality of care!
I regularly attend continuing education courses to stay well versed in the latest dental technologies. While I enjoy many aspects of dentistry, I find the greatest joy in helping patients become healthier as well as happier and more confident with their smile. I believe you never get a second chance to made a first impression on the people that you meet, so besides your personality your most beneficial accessory is your smile.
In the office
I believe in compassion, respect, and always placing my patient’s needs first. I always strive to understand my patient’s point of view and aim to build strong lasting relationships with my patients. I am a strong believer in transparent communication and am always happy to answer any questions that you may have.
I take pride in what I do and I hope to provide you with the most pleasant and comfortable experience possible.
Outside the office
In my spare time you will often find me outdoors. Some of my hobbies include fishing, scuba diving, hiking, and playing the guitar. I enjoy giving back to the community and have been an elementary school basketball coach for many years. I have also volunteered overseas in medical clinics and orphanages in Peru and Uganda.
I speak English and Cantonese, and am currently learning Mandarin.
Thank you for reading, I look forward to meeting you!
